VMHoF Class of 2025 event is December 6 in Milton; tickets and sponsorships available

MILTON, Vermont (November 4, 2025) – The Vermont Motorsports Hall of Fame is ready to celebrate. The inaugural VMHoF Class of 2025 will be honored on Saturday, December 6, and the location could not be more fitting: The Vermont SportsCar facility in Milton.

Vermont SportsCar is a world-class racing shop that produces some of the most famous Rally cars and specialized extreme-sports cars on the planet including Subaru and Skoda machines for drivers Travis Pastrana, Conner Martell, and American Rally Association National Champion Brandon Semenuk. Headed by Colchester native Lance Smith, VSC’s 75,000-square-foot building was erected in 2018 as a state-of-the-art racing team facility, constructed with sustainably sourced products and generating 60% of its power from solar energy.

The location serves as a bit of a homecoming for racing people in the Green Mountain State, as the VSC facility is situated just five buildings away from the remains of the beloved former Catamount Stadium race track, and just two miles from the shuttered Milton Raceway drag strip.

The Vermont Motorsports Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on the main shop floor among the eight spotless work bays with guests having an intimate, up-close experience with the inner workings of the team and its cars. Nine of the most influential people in racing with Vermont ties will be honored as the inaugural Class of 2025 to begin the life of the Hall of Fame. In addition, one present-day competitor will be recognized as the 2025 VMHoF Racer of the Year.

The VMHoF Class of 2025 is made up of organizers Tom Curley of Thunder Road and the American-Canadian Tour, Chuck Elms II of Bear Ridge Speedway and Northeastern Speedway, and C.J. Richards of Devil’s Bowl Speedway and the Champlain Valley Racing Association; stock car driving brothers Bobby Dragon and Harmon “Beaver” Dragon; tractor pulling legend Gardner Stone, drag racing royalty Shirley Muldowney, the multi-faceted Ken Squier of Thunder Road and Catamount Stadium, and Vermont SportsCar’s own John Buffum, a global icon of Rally racing.

The 2025 Racer of the Year Award will be chosen by the VMHoF Voting Committee, which will look at all forms of motorsports in the state. The public at large will also have a say in the outcome, as the nominee earning the most votes in the official poll will receive one official vote in addition to those of the 16-person Voting Committee.

“There is no better place for us to kick off the Vermont Motorsports Hall of Fame with our first induction ceremony than Vermont SportsCar,” VMHoF president Justin St. Louis said. “To have a shrine of a building like theirs in our own state is one thing, and to have it in Milton – which is such an important town for motorsports – is incredible. We are so grateful to Lance Smith and his team – including Tyler Berliner – for opening their doors to us and being a major part of what we feel is an historic event. We are ready for a memorable night of celebration, and we truly can’t wait for December 6.”

Tickets for the Vermont Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Induction Ceremony are on sale now through November 21 at $90 each; order forms are available at www.vermontmotorsports.net/halloffame. Sponsorships and program advertisements are available as well. Vermont Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
